Andragogy as learning trigger factor

Training Manager applies Andragogy to adult’s training program, Is it possible to transmit abilities and develop knowledge in adult people? Therefore it is necessary to know the meaning of Andragogy as well as identifying its main purpose inside the man’s psychosocial environment.

Stimulating motivations in the man is function of the adult's education; it is mission of the andragogic activity. Man's performance in this or other planet must continually add and multiply his cultural, scientific and technical heritage.

Something relevant to mention is that adult's education can't be close to schooling. It's necessary to go beyond, instructors, trainers, teachers or guides must give visual and practical techniques and dynamics that lead the adult to develop abilities which are found intrinsically parked, therefore fused with the constant practice and training work a skill-building instruction.

Adults make decision of what to read and why he does it, make decisions thanks to the logical capabilities, the infant is subject to a system, the adult looks for his knowledge to apply it immediately  that will allows him to be fruitful  in a shorter time,  having the clear conscious of looking  to be more competitive in the activity where the individual  develop himself, even more if the learning process  is sponsored  by an organization which waits to get a competitive position, improving his work competences, resulting in group competences of knowledge, abilities, attitudes and skills guiding to a superior performance  in his work environment, which includes,  works, activities, and responsibilities that contribute the achievement of the searched key objectives.    

Adults roll in the learning process is different and is built up with a major reach than being a passive receptor, note maker, conformist, or just a simple repeater of the learning knowledge by the instructor, teacher or facilitator. Participating implies a critical analysis of the set out situations, through contribution of effective solutions.

Educative fact is a process which acts over the man through his life and there is no moment in the several existence stages who feels free from the world influences.  It's known that changes are produce even in old ages concerning our believing, our opinions, customs and habits. Nature of life indicates that human being has the capability of keep learning during his whole life.

Andragogic activity can be aimed easily with the conditions that identify it:

1. Experience confrontation

Cultural, professional and social aspect, is the experience confrontation from the person who  teaches  and the one who is taught. Spiritual richness is his experience, is what he knows, what he lives, what he's done, what he feels. In the andragogic activity, difference between the educated and the one who educates is well marked. Both are adults with experiences, matching with the dynamic society process. The traditional teacher-student concept results in one who teaches another who ignores, theoretically the andragogic activity stop being translated in a reciprocal action where the instructor is the one who learns.

2. Rationality

When an adult have judgment elements to think about in his fair terms about contents that are given, Andragogic is submitted.

3. Adult Abstraction capability.

 Logic thought, is also submitted in the andragogic activity. Adults has a logical and dialectic conscious, he knows the reason of studying and that he can simple get in an inductive or deductive way the consequences of an educative fact. An adult promotes and plans education and does it in function of his needs, immediate interest and aim to revitalize his future.

4. Integration and publicity

Pedagogic function intends to stimulate, exercise, correct and watch child's behavior. It is allocated to awaken and to go into the child's learning in depth in order to give positive effects.

Andradogic function takes a different way, it doesn't have to promote interest, motivation, or need from an adult that he's already got:

• First stage: Consolidating, Keeping and enriching these interests to open new perspectives in a professional, cultural o social life.
• Second stage: orientation; even to an illiterate person can be guide as the way it's done to a child, to teach to an adult, new directions promoting him the idea of human collectively
• Third stage: Human growth projection, it consist in interpreting variables from what we were, we are and what we will be.

Finishing, human beings were designed as sponge, capable to get knowledge during all the life stages. That's way it is necessary to have better instructors capable to transmit and develop abilities, laying down knowledge in adults from different work fields.
