It is encouraging drilling engineers, directional drillers, E&P and service company executives, managers, subsurface and completion experts to participate and learn the capabilities of today’s directional drilling technology.
The technical program will have a different focus each day. Invitees include international ministries of energy and E&P company executives. The format will include special ‘working’ sessions designed to “raise the bar” of directional drilling technology.
Conference Format
IADD’s innovative format will consist of two daily technical sessions with an extended lunch break and afternoon social hour in the display area. This area consists of the technology showcase and tool display areas. The 99,000ft2 hall will be the focus of the convention. Attention will also be given to recruiting solutions by inviting key students from across the US.
Technology Showcase
Upon entering the hall, the delegate will immediately be enticed to explore the small ‘museum-like’ displays that are arranged in pavilions, each of which focuses on specific E&P topics or challenges, providing an innovative and interesting way for companies to show the impact of their capabilities and solutions on E&P economics. Pavilion topics will mirror the technical agenda and will include maximum reservoir contact, unconventional technologies, cost effective drilling solutions, drillstring dynamics, deepwater and environmentally friendly drilling.
Tool Displays
Based upon the popularity of tool display areas in the past, IADD has expanded the tool areas for this year’s event. This will be the gathering point for delegates, where they can see the array of equipment necessary to perform the job.
